A few month ago Estee Lauder claimed that there is a gold eye shadow for everyone. Every girl can find a shade of gold that suits her and look like a goddess… 🙂
I set out to find the perfect shade of gold for me but wanted a cheaper alternative than Estee Lauders and these are the shadows I got.
On the picture one of the eye shadows look more bronze but when swatched lightly it’s a deep gold in my opinion.
The most expensive was Sephoras Gold Casino in No.04.
Strangely enough that is also the shadow that is most invisible.
It’s pretty but I think it’s best suited to work as a highlighter in the inner corners and all around the lid. The color will problebly be very washed-out for pale girls but look totally stunning on darker girls.
Kiko is a “real” golden eye shadow. It is a pretty color and I think it can fit a lot of girls depending on how you use it of course. I really like the pigment and feel of this color. It is the number 102 from their collection.
Freedom is a new brand and very cheap! It is only £ 1 for a single eyeshadow. It’s more of a bronze tone but can be swatched lightly so it looks like a gold tone. I am really impressed with the quality of this eye shadow. I would have thought it was more expensive.
I am not sure I have found the perfect golden color for me yet. Unless a rose gold can be the perfect shade of gold for me?! 🙂 I love my Dior cream eye shadow in 531 Myriade.
